Datargo GmbH develops and operates Perstat
The product grew from a practical operating problem. After an outage, nobody should have to reconstruct monitoring, customer communication, on-call, and the availability record from four unrelated systems.
The company is led by Andreas Mallek. He built CertCenter AG as a Certificate Lifecycle Management provider and sold it to DigiCert in 2020.
Since 2000 he has also been founder and managing director of regfish GmbH, which operates domains and servers for businesses. He personally holds the CISSP, CCSP, and ISSAP security qualifications.
Perstat’s control plane is in the EU and is operated by the German Datargo GmbH. Probe regions outside the EU measure availability but do not store customer account data.

The name has two readings
Perstat is a complete Latin word, the third-person present of perstare: it stands, endures,
or holds fast. Engineers hear a second reading in netstat, iostat, and vmstat, where
-stat abbreviates statistics.
The readings share a spelling, not an etymology. We kept the 7-letter word because both readings fit the product without inventing a new name.
